It was a sultry Saturday evening (Aug 14 2010) in the Crossroads of America
one of the kinds that no matter how many fans you have ... ya just can't dry the sweat
I had just returned to the booth (Gamescience)
from helping a girlfriend cover up for the night
When I noticed a familiar celeb
had stopped for a photo op with a gang of fangirls on the corner of avenue A and 1200th ...
I proceeded to put down the hat for the night ... boy were my dogs killing me
upon standing I found the previously mentioned source of Trekgirls fantasies standing right in front of me ...
"Hi .. I'm Wil Wheaton and I wanted to stop by and thank you for the custom dice that you sent me
for the Charity Dungeon Crawl" ... he said
Somewhat taken aback by this sudden brush with Wheatonness ... I stammered
"The gentleman who made those dice for you is right here ... Matt? ...
there is someone here who wants to thank you for the custom dice you made for him"
whereupon I proceeded to smack my partner in crime right on his Jean-Luc Picard wannabe shiny head

then proceeded to turn and upon seeing who had interrupted his chatting up of the aforementioned fangirls
took a halfstep back which ended up closing the cash register drawer for the night (he's efficient that way)
"Hi ... I'm Wil Wheaton ... " said the coiner of "Don't Be a Dick"
At which point my ever eloquent ... friend said
"Yes ... yes you are"
I left the two of them there as I had been on a 3 day bender and I had an appointement with my pillow ...
Story highly embellished for entertainment sake .. but the setting ... and dialog are correct
