Dragons: The d4 is used to generate hit points (life points) for non combatants like wizards or peasents It is also used to generate damage for very small weapons such as daggers or slings |

When d4's
were first released they were sharp edged opaque truncated
tetrahedrons with the numbering for the roll arranged along the bottom edge of the die In this example ... all of the dice are showing a roll of 4 |

Later came sharp edged translucent or clear truncated tetrahedrons | |

Next came the rounded or 'European' style tetrahedrons |

The next
innovation was when the the numbers were moved to the points of the tetrahedron |

About the
same time a ISOSCELES
TETRAHEDRON or wedge shaped d4 was released These are quite rare and are no longer made due to patent infringement |

The final
and most radical change to the d4 came when Introduced their ELONGATED SQUARE DIPYRAMID or Crystal d4 |
