AUGUST 2008 HIGHLIGHTS


Here are the highlights of the dice added in AUGUST 2008
EVENTS OF PARTICULAR NOTE
Very busy month with 526 new dice ...

Gen Con Indy was a blast ...

   I was able to meet two fellow Dice Maniacs' for the first time
         (Jennefer and Kimberly) ...
   and touch base with a long time friend and Dice Maniac' (Laura)

    I also was able to meet Dave Arneson (face to face) for the first and
      hopefully not the last time

    This convention was the last for Louis Zocchi of Gamescience
       as the company is changing hands soon ... this does not mean
       that Lou will not be at conventions ... it just means he wont have
       to be manning the booth from sunup to sundown :)

     A pair of videos of Lou were filmed at the convention ...
            feel free to check them out ..

I decided to help out a couple of 'collectors websites' and one ...
    really took me up on the offer ...


    And is using internal technologies to keep their website up to date ...
    with my new editions !!! (so no work for me ... other than adding 
    content to their website) ...

    Many thanks to Mark of CollectionBuddy for doing the legwork to get
    this done :) 
I now likely have one example of every D100 ever created as I purchased
    the prototype D100 display from Lou Zocchi while at Gen Con

    This also contained many duplicates ... so I now have some very rare
    dice for trade ... as most of these colors never went to production
#25000 is on the horizon and approaching fast ...
    This one will be another custom die
