is that part of the die that does not include the indicia (number ... letter ... symbol ... picture)

COLOR of a die ...
is often subjective
For purposes of the dice database
I most often only use 6 colors (red ... orange ... yellow ... green ... blue ... purple)
And qualifiers like light ... dark ... pale (lightest)
Occasionally a mix color is used ... for example
Blue-Green ... which could be Aqua or Turquoise
Burgundy
Peach
